What is PrivateBin?

PrivateBin is a pastebin where the encryption happens in your browser. You paste text, share a link, and the key that decrypts it travels in the link itself rather than being stored on the server.

Can SonicBit read what I paste?

No. Text is encrypted with AES-256 in your browser before it is sent, so the server only ever holds ciphertext. That is the design of PrivateBin, not a setting you have to switch on.

Does the person I send it to need an account?

No. They open the link and the paste decrypts in their browser. You can also set a password, or use burn-after-reading so it is destroyed once opened.

Can I attach files?

Yes. File attachments are supported and are encrypted the same way the text is.

Does PrivateBin need a Performance slot?

No — PrivateBin is very lightweight and runs in a regular app slot included with your plan.
