Can't log in — reset your password, 2FA, and email

Updated 2026-07-16account

Locked out or want to tighten up your account? Here's each account task in one place.

Reset a forgotten password

1
Start a reset from the login page

On the login page, click Forgot? next to the password field and enter the email address on your account.

2
Enter the emailed code

We email you a 6-digit code — enter it to confirm it's really you. Didn't get it? Check spam, then use Resend code.

3
Set a new password

Choose a new password — at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a number, and a symbol — and you're back in. This is the same password you use on the website and in our Android & iOS apps.

Already logged in and just want to change your password? Open the avatar menu (top-right) → Account → the Security settings tab → Change password — no email code needed.

Turn on two-factor (2FA)

SonicBit offers email-based two-factor: with it on, each website login also asks for a one-time code sent to your email.

4
Open your account security

Open the avatar menu (top-right) → Account → the Security settings tab.

5
Toggle Email 2FA on

Flip Email 2FA on. From then on, logging in sends a code to your email that you enter after your password.

Keep access to your email inbox — it's how both password resets and 2FA codes reach you. If you lose access to your email, you'll need support to recover the account.

Change your email

Changing the email on your account isn't self-serve yet — for security we handle it manually.

Fix

Contact support from your current email address and tell us the new address — then send a short confirmation from the new address mentioning your ticket. Once we've seen both (which proves you control the new inbox), we'll switch it over.

Still can't log in?

Run through this quick checklist:

  • Right email? Try any alternate addresses you might have signed up with.
  • Reset the password using the steps above — it rules out a typo or an old saved password.
  • 2FA code not arriving? Check spam and wait a minute; codes are one-time and expire.
  • "Account not found" usually means a different email was used at signup.

Still stuck after that? Contact support and tell us the email you're trying and what happens when you log in — we'll sort it out.
