My torrent disappeared or was removed on its own
A torrent you added is gone from the Seedbox page. Sometimes a banner appeared first — “your.torrent.name” couldn't be added on your current plan — and sometimes it just quietly wasn't there. Anything it had already downloaded is gone with it.
Most plan limits stop a torrent at the door: if you're at your torrent count or simultaneous download limit, it's never added at all, and an upgrade panel tells you so on the spot. Two situations remove a torrent that's already in your list, and both come down to space:
- the torrent's total size is over your plan's per-torrent limit — and the files you picked wouldn't fit in the room you have left;
- on the Free plan only, your newest torrent wouldn't fit in your storage.
Removing it takes the downloaded data with it, which is why it looks like it vanished. Today's banner is generic, so it can't tell you which of the two you hit.
Work out which limit removed it, then add it back in a shape that fits:
The limit is per torrent, not per file — a season pack counts as one torrent, and it's the torrent's whole size that's measured, including files you skip. Compare it against your plan:
- Free — 10 GB. A single 4K film or one full season can pass that on its own.
- Nano, Krypher, Voltrix, Aerthix, Kyther, Xyron — 500 GB.
- Basic — 1 TB.
- Mobile-app plans — 100 GB on Starter, 200 GB on Standard, 400 GB on Super.
- Older legacy tiers vary: Rookie is 100 GB, most of the rest are 1 TB or more.
Being over that limit isn't enough on its own — a torrent is only removed if it also wouldn't fit. That's why the same 600 GB torrent sits happily on a near-empty Xyron and is removed on Nano. The storage bar in the sidebar shows where you stand; clear space in My Drive before you add it again.
An over-limit torrent can still work if you take less of it. On the Seedbox page click Add download, then the .torrent chip to attach the file — a magnet won't do here, we need the file itself to read the list. Click the attached row (it shows the file count) and untick what you don't need. What counts against your space is what you actually download, so a trimmed-down season pack goes through. Add a torrent or magnet walks through that dialog.
Skipping files doesn't help here — the Free check measures the torrent's full size against your 4 GB (6 GB if you signed up through someone's referral link), and everything in your account counts toward it, not just finished downloads. Clear space in My Drive first, and pick something that fits whole. One quirk in your favour: if it's the only torrent in your list, it's never the one removed.
If you're regularly over the line, the Upgrade screen is the real fix — the button on the banner goes straight there. From Free, any paid plan raises both the per-torrent limit and your space by a large multiple.

Settings says “Unlimited” — so why was it removed? On any paid plan, avatar menu (top-right) → Settings → Seedbox shows Torrent Count Limit: Unlimited and Torrent Size Limit: Unlimited. That row rounds up: any torrent count over 100, and any per-torrent limit over about 50 GB, is printed as “Unlimited” — so a real 500 GB limit reads as no limit at all. Trust the figures above instead. (On Free, those same rows show your real numbers.) We know it's confusing, and it's on our list to fix.
The banner is easy to miss. When a torrent is removed, the Seedbox page shows a one-line notice with its name, an Upgrade button and an X to dismiss — but it clears when the list refreshes a few seconds later, and nothing keeps a record of it afterwards. If you never saw it, work back from the size and space above.
It disappeared with no banner at all
Then a limit probably didn't remove it. The usual explanations:
- It was deleted along with its data. Delete data with torrent in Settings → Seedbox is on by default, so removing a torrent from the Seedbox page erases its files too — and while that setting is on, the Also erase the downloaded files tick-box in the delete dialog makes no difference: the data goes either way. You can switch the setting off there (it's a paid-plan setting), but treat every delete as permanent regardless.
- It never finished being added. A magnet with no peers can sit and then drop out; a
.torrentURL that 404s never becomes a torrent at all. - Your seedbox restarted mid-add. See My seedbox is down or won't restart.
If none of those fit — especially if a torrent well inside your plan's limits vanished — contact support with the torrent's name. We can see why it was removed from our side, and you shouldn't have to guess.
